ABOUT ME

Greetings and thanks for visiting!

I’m Steven Marzolf, a native Wisconsinite, and a theatre artist: an actor, director and educator and I truly love the work. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have been a professional actor and director for over 20 years. I’m a proud graduate of The Old Globe/University of San Diego’s MFA program and in 2012, I was cast in a play at TheatreSquared (The Fall of the House) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I fell in love with the area, never left and I’m proud to call Fayetteville my home. Currently, I’m the Head of
Undergraduate Performance at the University of Arkansas. Prior to that I taught for three years at the University of Tulsa.

I’m also a member of Actors’ Equity and I have been so fortunate in my career to have worked with some top-notch professionals (Richard Dreyfuss, Bruce Vilanch, Patrick Page, Darko Tresjnak, Adrian Noble) as well as some amazing companies: The Old Globe
Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Milwaukee Rep, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Theatresquared, Trike Theatre, Riverside Theatre,

Notre Dame Summer Shakes, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, and Steppenwolf Theatre Company (where I was a part of the original production of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winning play August: Osage County). I’ve also been blessed to direct at some wonderful theatres and universities: Riverside Theatre in Iowa City, The Side Project in Chicago, The South Arkansas Symphony/Theatresquared, The Stella Adler Institute in NYC, Opera Fayetteville, NWA Shakespeare Festival, Trike Theatre, Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, The Classical Edge, University of Tulsa, and University of Arkansas.

In addition to being a theatre artist, I’m a certified energy healing practitioner and Health/Life Coach. I’ve realized that all these disciplines get to the root of what I care so deeply about in life: understanding oneself on a deeper level, so we can lessen the distance between each other’s hearts. My goal is to be in service to this mission by helping others discover themselves and each other more deeply.
